06/04/82 Broad Pennant of Commodore H.C. Clapp (COMAW) sailed from Portsmouth, en route for Ascension with 3 Commando Brigade (Brigadier J.J. Thompson RM.) 40, 42 and 45 Royal Marine Commandos enhanced by 3 Para and subsequently augmented by 2 Para.

30/05/82 Major-General J.J. Moore Arrived San Carlos in FEARLESS as Commander Land Forces: Operation Corporate.

1983 Dartmouth Training Squadron

28/11/83 FEARLESS later supported by ANDROMEDA and ACHILLES, relieved GLAMORGAN and BRAZEN off Lebanon.

01/01/84 RELIANT (RFA) with NP2200 and 846 NAS relieved FEARLESS off Lebanon and assisted in the evacuation of over 5,000 civilians in four weeks.
