When Australia bought our Oberon Class submarines, part of the package was training their crews at HMS Dolphin, Fort Blockhouse, Gosport.
I was the CRS(W)(SM) in the school and remember many difficult sessions trying to teach the first crews from HMAS OVENS & ONSLOW the lingo of "Racket X band, Strength 5, Bearing.." on the awful UA4! And then when they were asked how to classify the contact the response given was... "Well we use analysis books that are SECRET and I am not able to show you!"
