Tiger beer is a golden coloured lager (5.1%) that is well known in the Far East but especially Singapore. A favourite drink with British sailors was 'Tiger Tops', a pint of Tiger with a dash of lemonade which made it very refreshing.
Tiger beer is brewed by Asia Pacific Breweries which is based in Singapore, though they have breweries in Kuala Lumpa, Malysia too. They were formed in 1931 as a joint venture between Fraser & Neame and Heinekin and were originally called Malayan Breweries.
