Olongapo City, Philippines. After exercising in Subic Bay Daring sailed into Olongapo City that was being used by the American fleet and air force. Huge B52 bombers would take off and land here, casting a huge shadow over us whilst we played volley ball with the Americans on the beach. These bombers would fly over Vietnam and drop their load before returning back to base for replenishment.
